"Paris Design Week" will be held in Paris, France from September 8 to 17, 2022. In conjunction with this event, "Inspiration of Kyoto" will exhibit refined design crafts at the Galerie des Ateliers from September 8 to 30. Yamasho will also participate in this event, exhibiting its "Tokonoma Unit"(Alcove unit) from September 8 to 18, and from September 19 onward, will be presenting the "Tokonoma Unit"(Alcove unit) and Sukiya-style architecture through posters and leaflets.
"Inspiration of Kyoto" is an organization founded by traditional craftsmen from Kyoto and sophisticated designers from Paris to develop new industries, and IOK is participating in this event to make its creations widely known to the French public.(FYI/ Paris and Kyoto are the sister cities.)
It will be very interesting to see what kind of crafts will be presented as a result of the collaboration between traditional Eastern and Western cultures.
The "Tokonoma Unit"(Alcove unit) presented by Yamasho will be available for sale after the exhibition period.
